Welcome to Au Pair Mallorca's Web site!
Are you a family with children looking for help with the daily burden of being
divided between home and work?
Are you between 18 and 30 years of age looking to go abroad to work and study
for some time without having to worry about social security, a monthly rental
bill, and a work permit? Au Pair Mallorca, S.L. is an agency that
will find an
adequate foreign AU PAIR for your family and household, or a host
family.
The general conditions of an
Au Pair are:
The Au Pair placement is a system by which a young person, aged between 18 and
30, foreign to the host country and who wishes to improve her language and
cultural skills, spends some months with a host family. In exchange for the
accommodation and weekly pocket money, she helps taking care of the children and
doing light housework on a daily basis, with at least one full free day per week. An
Au Pair stays at your home up to 12 months and may even stay longer if desired.
The European Agreement on
Au Pair
placement was signed at Strasbourg in 1969 (read
section legal). Becoming an Au
Pair involves a voluntary and free agreement between
you and your host family, based on a good willingness to understand each other
and in which the treatment you receive cannot be discriminatory nor can it be
confused with a domestic service.
Our mission:
-Helping parents to find two more hands at home to take care of the "kings of the
house".
-Helping foreign young students to learn or improve their
skills of a foreign language, by means of finding a host family for them so that they are in touch
with the locals wherever you are.
-Letting children to know other cultures and becoming familiar with other
languages. This new knowledge will be of much help in their future!
Who are we?
A group of young parents who know the challenges of combining work, children, and
a happy family life.
We have studied and lived in Spain, United Kingdom and Germany, and know how
important it is to speak foreign languages and to feel at home in any culture no
matter where you are and what you do.
